Body Muscling

Kikos have a reputation to be thin on their hind quarters and lower flanks. So as of now, our only conformation that we are aiming to improve is more muscling of the rear end. Utilizing our sire ZVA Leroy Brown and senior doe SDF Evalein, they are leading the way by hand breeding select pairings to ensure the right matches are made. Currently we have a wide spectrum of body types ranging from 90lbs-150lbs of every shape and size. We are trying to narrow this gap by selecting our does to present as very feminine with slender front shoulders and wider hips. Looking to the records of our herd, the more masculine looking does do not necessarily perform the best. We will continue watching as this ongoing hypothesis unfolds.
