"We take pride in driving alternatively with renewable recycled fuels, greatly reducing our carbon foot print as a farm. We secure our annual demand of fuel with Alternative Fuel Solutions LLC, supplying us with subsidized renewable biodiesel through the Renewable Energy Credit Act."

Energy

is a word that can be so confusing. We try to keep things simple by managing the best we can to cover everything from point A to point B. Many things are unattainable but we have chosen to take our part where we can in limiting our use of costly resources by being responsible for our own fuel needs. Arrowhill Farm is a sustainability partner with Electric Forest Music Festival to recycle and reuse their waste vegetable oil. All of our farming operation is powered on biodiesel collected from Electric Forest grounds. Giving free consultation of our experience of driving alternatively for over a decade is something we love to do! Enjoy watching this Electric Forest promo video of our festival to farm partnership.

A Renewable & Recycled Adventure

The feeling of driving down the road on fuel that you have gathered with your own hands never gets old. One of the many hundreds of thousands of miles we travelled was in 2015 with our yellow 1982 Volkswagen Vanagon. Our VW bus, named Frankincense, chauffeured the filming crew of the documentary "Great Lakes, Bad Lines" - the distance of 515 miles along the expired Pipeline 5 fueled by recycled vegetable oil. Enjoy the show below!
